If you have been down Chinasol way in Almuñécar recently you will have seen that they are building an ornamental-fountain roundabout.
The fountain is going to have a seven-metre diameter and a 50cm deep bowl. The actual centre will be an anchor in homage to the sea and seafarers (los marineros).
The municipal worker, José Cabrera, who has worked on all the municipal fountains (the octopus one, for example) is in charge of the decorative part.
Anyway, the fountain will be tied into the automated lighting and water-display system, day and night… Oh, and try not to crash into it.

Can’t wait to see it with all the paint scrapes on it from the cars
The Town Hall should put some man hours into maintaining the gardens along the Paseo de San Cristobal instead of this nonsense- it is so sad to see the state of it all & depressing for the businesses along there & Helios Hotel all trying hard to attract quality tourism & having to look out over that mess!!!
