The Almuñécar hiking club (PMD) has organised a walk through the heartland of the Parque Natural de la Sierra de Huétor.

The walk, which will take in the area between Florencia and Fuente Los Potros, is tomorrow, so you had better get your finger out if you want to get your name down for it.

“We will pass by old cortijos, extensive pine forests and meadows beneath rocky mountain peaks,” explained the official guide, Enrique Garín.

The walk will take about six hours with a medium-high-difficulty rating, so if you fancy it, you can phone 958 883 142 or pop along to the football stadium on the P-4.
