The rubbish-collection service in Almuñécar will have different times to normal over Semana Santa, informed the Councillor for the Environment.

Starting from Saturday the 24th and lasting until Sunday the 1st of April, the collection times in the centre of the town will be before 21.00h. This will affect local shops especially. Rubbish must be put out between 16.00h and 18.00h, therefore.

Rubbish hoppers and containers must be off the streets by 21.30h, and we all know that the Town Hall’s favourite sport is issuing fines.

The affected areas, which coincide with procession routes, are: Avenida Juan Carlos I, Avenida de Andalucía, Avenida Europa, Paseo Puerta del Mar, Paseo Prieto Moreno and the town-centre shopping areas.
