Obviously, Ópticas Navarrete, like every other optician’s with such a display monitor, would be showing commercials for glasses 24 hours a day, but somebody had hacked into their system that weekend.

It was the son of one of the employees at the optician’s that raised the voice of alarm. The owner was there like a shot and not only turned off the TV monitor, but also immediately informed the police.

The manager believes that a hacker got into the system using a mobile and the shop’s wifi to change the ‘programming.’

Editorial note: two questions come to mind: how long were the images on show, and how long did the boy take between making his discovery and finally telling somebody about it?
