It was just before six one evening in Fuentevaqueros when a car cut in front of an ambulance forcing it to stop. Four men jumped out, one with a gunshot wound.
The men told the ambulance crew to take the 42-year-old wounded man to hospital, before jumping back into the car and speeding off. And that’s exactly what the crew did, bundling him into the back and speeding off enroute for the hospital.
The Guardia Civil have opened an investigation to discover who had shot the man and who the other occupants of the car were.
The wounded man’s life is not in danger and doctors soon removed the bullet from his thigh. The victim is a resident of the northern district of the city of Granada and has a criminal record. He is also keeping mum (remaining silent) on what happened to him.
