The police in Motril caught two alleged burglars after a break-in in the centre of Motril.
The incident occurred last Sunday night when the owner of a flat phoned in to say that somebody had broken into her property. When the Policia Nacional arrived it was to find that somebody had forced the lock on the front door.
Inside the dwelling the place had been turned upside down with the drawers on the floor together with their content and the cupboards and wardrobes emptied out.
It was then that the police heard neighbours shouting that two men were escaping across the roof so they set off in pursuit. In the meantime, Policia Local units had cordoned off the area and soon trapped one of them. The other was later found hiding on a tiled roof.
Both individuals, who had been arrested on previous occasions for similar offences, were taken before a magistrate the following day, Monday the 26th.
