Tonight there will be a high tide; i.e., a high-water surge around 04.30h tomorrow morning. But there is no need to panic, despite the accompanying photo.
Basically, don’t pitch your tent too near the water line or leave your rubbish there because it will all end up in the water.
Admittedly, nobody is going to wake up on a Moroccan beach, nor will there be a tsunami, but the surf will come some way up the beaches – not only on the Costa Tropical, but all over Spain.
On the Galician beaches, for example, where they really do have tides, revellers have to be off the beaches by 03.00h because the water will reach the sea walls and the beaches disappear.
Down here on the Mediterranean coast, the difference between high and low water will be much less pronounced.
