If you thought that the Almuñécar branch of the supermarket chain, Lidl, was the only one reopening this month, then you’re wrong: there’s one opening in Ayamonte (Huelva) and Boadilla del Monte (Madrid), too.
The supermarket chain has spent some 10-million euros on these three supermarkets.
As for Almuñécar, the inauguration of the enlarged version of the old supermarket is planned for the 25th of May, with its 1,200 sq/m of shopping space.
The budget for the Almuñécar branch was 3.3m euros and the increased shopping space brings with it eight new shop employees.
So, there you go: Lidl is scheduled to reopen its doors on the 25th, with a new layout that has parking space beneath the supermarket, instead of in front of it.
