Over 5,000 people participated in Motril’s Colour Run on Tuesday the 28th of February, which was organised by Asociación Kaizen in collaboration with the Town Hall.

Thanks to this high turn out and the symbolic inscription fee of one euro, Encarnación Parilla and Conchi Porras from Kaizen were able to hand over a cheque worth 6,500 euros to AUPA the next day.

The Chairwoman of the Asociación de Madres y Padres de Niños Oncológicos de Motril (AUPA), Esperanza Maldonado received the cheque in the name of the association at the municipal sports hall. The money will go to cancer research, especially in children.

The Councillor for sports – the event took place on the Día del Deporte – Miguel Ángel Muñoz, pointed out that this kind of event would not have been possible without all the runners who gave up their free time on a public holiday, and of course, all the volunteers behind the organising; the schools and Club Run Run, as well as sponsors such as Al Campo and Coca Cola
