Not The AECC’s

LOtteryThe Almuñécar branch of the AECC would like it known that the lottery tickets Ayuda Contra El Cancer have nothing to do with them.

The AECC also points out that their own Christmas Lottery tickets have their stamp on the back, together with their logo.

The Christmas Lottery known as El Gordo costs 20 euros, if you buy them directly from a lottery shop/kiosk. However many charity organisations, Semana-Santa brotherhoods and clubs buy a whole number (ten decimos) and sell them at 23 euros with the three extra euros going to their cause.

In fact, even school kids do this to finance their school trips; obviously, it’s their school that organises it.

However, it has been known for some unscrupulous individuals to sell Christmas Lottery tickets for 23 euros and pocket the 3-euro profit, using a fictitious cause. We are not suggesting that the Ayuda Contra El Cancer ones are necessarily a scam, however.
