Despite being of very small proportions, the fire that broke out within the municipality of Jete on the 24th received lots of attention and was quickly extinguished.

The fire, which broke out around 17.00h, was in the area known as the Trapichuelo; i.e. between the Virgen de la Aguas gasoline station and the limits of Torrecuevas. It consumed undergrowth around pines, damaging a few, and shrubs – less than 100 sq/m.

Employed against it were three aircraft: two transport helicopters one double-propeller water-bomber helicopter and a fixed-wing Skytractor water-bomber, plus four vehicles and 41 fire fighters…

Obviously the logic is get there fast with all you have and put it out before it spreads; which worked very well!
