On Friday the 26th, firemen from Motril had their work cut out for them putting out a fire in Salobreña, not far from the gasoline station.

It was around noon that the fire broke out, behind Avenida del Mediterráneo, near Supersol and the said gasoline station, caused by somebody burning off stubble, which obviously got out of control and spread to nearby brush and wild cane.

Strong winds didn’t help but the Motril firemen and the Salobreña detachment finally got it under control and put it out.
