We now have definite dates for the XVIII Festival de Títeres in La Herradura, which are from the 28th to the 31st of July.
Three different theatre companys will be putting on a total of four separate shows for the kiddies.
As the festival title indicates, this is the 18th year that the village has hosted this special summer event for children – something that enthralls them even in this tablet/computer, video-game age.
This year we have the Búho (Owl) threatre company, who are going to open the festival on the 28th at 22.00h with a puppet play entitled: La verdadera historia de Caperucita Roja (The True Story of Little Red Riding hood).
The following night, on the 29th, the Ángeles de Trapo (The Rag Angels) theatre company will stage Viajeros del Carrusel (Carrousel Travellers).
The next two evening will see Producciones Infantiles Miguel Pino theatre company stage Peneque Capitán Ganchete and the following night, as part of the 400th Cervantes anniversary celebrations, Quijote y Peneque con los Niños. Both works were written by Miguel Pino.
So that from the 28th to the 31st in the Plaza de la Independencia, free admittance, starting at 22.00h each evening.
Kids should love it!
