The waters off La Herradura saw the 27th Campeonato de Fotografía Submarina with 13 teams competing from Jaén, Almería, Málaga and Cádiz.

The objective for the competitors was to take six photos on the themes of the Environment, Fauna and Macro during a maximum of three dives: two Saturday and one Sunday, none lasting over 120 minutes.

Five of the said teams qualified, who will represent Andalucía for the 28th Campeonato de España (Nafosub), which will be held between the 19th and 23rd in La Herradura, as well.

The five teams (couples) that obtained a place in the upcoming national competition are: Jesús Osorio/Eva Duarte, Fabián Álvarez/Nieves Bravo, Antonio Martín/María G. Infante, Raúl Garciolo/Ana Rodríguez and Miguel Navarrete/Óscar Luna.

The recently held competition was organized by the Federación Andaluza de Actividades Subacuáticas, with the help of the GEAS (Guardia Civil) concerning safety measures, using their zodiac and vehicles on emergency standby.
