Quite possibly the best pub on the Costa Tropical… and it’s not even on the coast – it’s in Otivar, 14 kilometres inland and well worth the trip.

Run by Jeronimo (hence the name of the pub) and Sole, El Indio has been going since the late 70’s and thankfully has changed little since the day that it first opened its doors.

As you can imagine, they have accumulated an amazing collection of vinyls since then, not to mention all the different music platforms (DVD’s etc) since the glorious days of LP records. Ask Jeronimo for some 60’s, 70’s & 80’s albums and the chances are that he has them.

Drinks? Inland prices, of course, and what’s on offer is not just drinks because Sole does a wicked job in the small kitchen, churning out hot & cold tasties; and we’re talking about homegrown garnish!

Oh, and this summer they have a wood-fired pizza oven and barbeque on their terrace.

How to find them? It’s on the main road, more or less in front of the Caja Rural.
