When is La Herradura in Madrid? When it’s the Dive Travel Show, of course! Over 2,000 people visited the town’s stand there.

Just as the climate on the Costa Tropical is the envy of most, the sea beds off La Herradura and Almuñécar are in equally favourable consideration by diver across the country and beyond.

The local diving clubs have put a lot into promoting our area, backed by the Almuñécar Tourist Board. The official brochure lists 15 top diving spots.

One of the the stand’s successes was the raffle, with a dozen prizes in the form of weekend stays on the coast so that stand visitors could see first hand what La Herradura and Almuñécar have to offer.

But there’s more because La Herradura is also the venue for the Campeonato Europeo de Fotografía Submarina, which will be held from the 5th to the 11th of October this year.

The Councillor for Tourism, Rafael Caballero Jiménez, used the Dive Travel Show stand in Madrid to announce this.

The fact is – and this point was pushed in Madrid – you can dive just about any day of the year, which for most divers is a luxury to have so close at hand; i.e., without having to find the time and funds to travel to exotic corners of the Earth.
