Not everybody has discovered that Antonio has taken back the chiringuito and is running it himself, just like the old days!

He had leased it out for a few years but decided that the very popular Casa Antonio on the Playa Cabria, Taramay, needed that family touch which had been missing, so for those of you that missed Antonio’s personal touch, pop around – he’s looking forward to seeing his old customers again.

Casa Antonio, on what the old sweats used to call the Captain’s Beach, goes back a long, long way – I was a regular there when I used to live just above it in 1984, and it had already been going nearly 20 years even back then.

The views are rewarding, the food is excellent, the service attentative, so on these sunny Autumn days with the cold just around the corner, what could be nicer than having a satisfying lunch, finishing off with a nice coffee whilst the afternoon ebbs…
