The maritime arm of the Guardia Civil recovered the body of a woman off El Peñon in Salobreña in the afternoon of the 20th of October.

First reports say that the victim was a 47-year-old woman from Jaen, according to the personal ID found on the beach.

The body recovered at 17.15h and transferred to Motril for identification and an autopsy to establish the cause of death.

It is not known if the death of the woman is connected with the heavy flooding in Salobreña.

There have been no missing persons reports since or before the discovery.
