Police arrested three people, accused of stealing dogs in order to use them in dog fights – an ordeal they rarely survive for long.

The men, aged between 19 an 27, all with police records, face four counts of burglary in Fuente Vaqueros and two thefts carried out on animal refuges, all of which were occurred in July and August this year.

In the case of the animal homes, they allegedly made off with two pitbulls and a French bulldog.

The break-ins caused quite a lot of consternation locally but fortunately police investigations turned up solid clues in the targeted buildings that eventually led to these arrests.
