This September in Lobres, sees the opening of the Montessori Space Entre Chirimoyos for children aged two to six years old. The educational project is launched by the non-profit organization, Crecer Al Andaluz, and supported by the group of parents involved.
The children will live and learn, assisted by a teacher, trained by the International Montessori Association, and English and Spanish assistants with varied skills to enrich the environment of the Montessori Space.
Entre Chirimoyos is a simple and beautiful Children’s House with its different areas for experiments: Veggie garden, Arts, Practical Life, Sensory Life, Reading and Language, Mathematics, Sciences, Building, Music, a whole world to explore through iniciative and enjoyment. That way, the children will always strengthen even more their self-esteem and
creativity, and their intelligence will strive.
In the Children’s House, the role of the adults is to guide the children towards more autonomy in their daily lives and learning; to help them do and think by themselves, respecting at all times their individual rhythms, personalities and sensitive periods for learning.
The specific Montessori learning materials and the organization of the Space also promote active learning. The Curriculum is clearly exposed on the shelves, in corners and order of difficulties; the manipulative materials are self-corrective and the children can use them whenever they want. The richness and beauty of these materials make them attractive to the children, then motivated to explore the whole year through.
Another main aspect of the Children’s House is the education for Peace. The children can move and speak freely at every moment, and at the same time they also discover the world of responsibility for the work atmosphere, caring for the others and for the materials.
On a daily basis, they receive delightful classes of courtesy, grace and silence. These short
classes are offered to the children to give them effective tools to develop concentration, attention, calmness which are necessary to live in peace with oneself and the others.
An education to develop the potential of our children and help them grow happy.
You are very welcome to discover the Montessori Space Entre Chirimoyos during their monthly parties, every second Saturday of the month. You might also like your child to enjoy the morning Children’s House or join the activities offered in the afternoons and weekends for all ages: workshops for adults about Montessori and also Non-Violent Communication, Yoga and Meditation, Spanish for foreigners; Sciences, Mathematics and Language Montessori workshops for up to 12-year olds, Sevillana and Creations for kids, Music, Circus, and more!
