Half past three on an August afternoon is not a good time for a jog, but up jogged José along Playa Puerta del Mar in Almuñécar.
Malagueño, José Manuel Nebreda, had a good reason to be out jogging because he is jogging around Andalucia and had set off from Castell de Ferro that very morning.
His one man solidarity jog is called Al Andarum and will take in 850 kilometres between walking and jogging during approximately 21 days.
So, how far is he along? José set off from San Juan de lo Terreros in Almería and will cross the finishing line in Ayamonte on the Portuguese border, hopefully, on the 5th of September.
This man is almost running a standard Marathon every day… in August!
His mammoth fund-raising feat is for financing a junior school in Hossana, Ethiopia as part of a Manos Unidas project.
Kudos, José!
