Following the 1-hour power cut on the first August Shopping-Night, repair work has been carried out in Avenida Costa del Sol at the top end.
Apparently it was a fault in this area that provoked the power outage.
A private company hired by Endesa-Sevillana for the task has been using specialist machinery under the supervision of the utility company, which has involved digging up the pavement to replace the damaged cables.
The Town Hall has also called on businesses that suffered income and perishable losses to come forward and put their names down to file a joint complaint for damages, together with the Town Hall itself – the more involved; the more weight the complaint will have if it goes to court.
Lastly, the Town Hall has announced that it has filed a complaint before the Ministry of Industry and demanded that there be an audit of the company’s power-grid infrastructure within the municipality.
