Salobreña held its VI Gran Premio, cross-country race around the beginning of the month with nearly 1,500 athletes competing.

Runners José Manuel Fernández Rodríguez (CD Olimpo de Granada) and Zhor El Amraniy (At. Maracena) took the top prizes.

The race covered a 10-km circuit within the town itself and the runners were greeted by spectators along much of the route, especially along the paseo.

This race is part of the province-wide XXVII Gran Premio de Fondo organized by the Provincial Council and sponsored by CruzCampo (the brewery).
