Two Motril associations, with the backing of the Town Hall, have set up a crossed sales incentive for the whole of the Christmas period.
It’s all got to do with Motrileños supporting local businesses by doing their spending within the municipality.
The idea was presented by the Councillor for Commerce at the Motril Town Hall, Manuela Santiago, The Chairman of the shopkeepers association, Manuel Molina and the representative of the Motril businesswomen’s association, Jutta Müller, who you might remember, runs Bio Muller on the Plaza de la Aurora.
Talking of the said square, the mini fairground, comprising a bumper-car attraction and a carousel, will be present and running until the 11th of January.
Jutta explained that the ‘passport’ gets the holder a discount at the businesses included within the scheme. How it works is that you make a purchase and the shop then gives you a passport to be used in another establishment, and so on. This is what is known as ventas cruzadas (crossed sales)
Anyway, if you’re in Motril and want to known more, why not pop into Bio-Muller and ask Jutta about it?
