Have you heard of Napoleon and Antosia? Maybe not, but they have been making waves in high places in their home country of Poland.

Of course, they are donkeys, and are residents of a zoo in Poznan in Poland where they had lived very happily for 10 years. Being a donkey couple and with no access to motels or open fields, they tended to do their love-making in front of zoo visitors. Both animals appeared to thoroughly enjoy their carnal engagements and over the years have produced six offspring.

However, bring in a couple of mothers who think it’s absolutely fine to sit their kids in front of images of shootings and decapitations in the form of films and video games… but when it comes to them seeing the natural behavior of animals in a zoo, they nearly feinted and immediately complained to zoo officials and a local conservative councillor, Lydia Dudziak, who also found the animals behaving naturally thoroughly disgusting.

Under pressure from the said Ms. Dudziak and the parents, the zoo put the donkeys in separate pens, separating them for the first time in a decade.

Thankfully, Readers, Poland is better than the sum of a stuck-up conservative councillor and a few ignorant mums… pretty soon the donkeys had their own social media pages with 10,000 ‘likes,’ a petition signed by over 7,000 people and tons of input from experts saying that the donkeys psychological wellbeing was being damaged.

Eventually, even politicians couldn’t even go on TV with questions being asked about Napoleon and Antosia.

So, the zoo accepted that it had made a mistake and the donkeys are now sharing an enclosure and their lovemaking once more.

And what of the rather silly Ms. Dudziak… well, the Law and Justice spokesman of her own conservative party thought she was barmy:

“It’s a level of absurdity that has been crossed to such an extent that I don’t want to read or know about it anymore,” explained Adam Hofman.
