Restaurante Tito Yayo

AD Tito Sunset 02Restaurante Tito Yayo on Playa Cabria, Taramay is one of the most popular restaurants in Almuñécar, and for several very good reasons.

First of all its a beach restaurant with its own parking, which in Almuñécar is pure gold. La Cabria (the Captain’s Beach as it is known to the old hands) is very popular, as is El Curumbico, just around the stone pathway around the rocks, which is the only Almuñécar beach with sand instead of pebbles.

But Tito Yayo is about great food, reasonable prices brought to your table by a heard of efficient waiters. Meat dishes, Fish dishes, Seafood, Salads and great desserts.

Did I mention the BBQ set in a sanding filled rowing boat? BBQ’d octopus and sardines… ‘Lip smackin’ comes to mind.

You can sit inside, on the shaded terrace or under sunshades actually on the beach – hell, you could swim out to Morocco and a waiter would probably be dispatched with your order!

Seriously, Restaurante Tito Yayo gets a tick in every box on a good restaurant’s check list. There’s even live entertainment on Tuesday nights with a Flamenco show.

How to get there? Head for Hotel Playacalida, take the road that runs below it on the far side and then down onto the beach. The parking area is found driving around the front of the restaurant.

Open everyday from 11 to 12.00 to 24.00 every day of the week Rest. Tito Yayo can be found on Playa Cabria, Taramay, tel. 958 88 19 80.
