From today, Friday the 13th, Almuñécar will be holding an international dancing competition in the Majuelo. Plenty of fancy footwork , Ladies and Gentlemen.
Starting at 22.00h with the official inauguration ceremony, where all the participating dancing couples will file past on the stage.
After that its, waltzes, tangos and two steps (pasodobles) until your feet fall off.
There are different categories, depending on ages: over 60’s, 50 to 60, and 30 to 50, and there will be three sections for each group.
After that it’s the III Trofeo internacional de Salsa “Ciudad de Almuñécar” with three different age categories too: over 50’s, 30 to 50, 18 to 30, 12 to 18 and under 12’s.
The evening ends with trophies for the top three couples from each category.
Then the next day, Saturday, at 22.00h its time for the said combined dances of waltzes, tangos and pasodoubles for age categories of 18 to 30 and 12 to 18 and under 12’s. Trophy awarding finishes the evening.
Cutting a long story short, Friday and Saturday from 22.00h there will be plenty of ballroom dancing in the Majuelo park… what more do you need to know, eh?
