Young girls from the Escuela de Gimnasia Rítmica de Almuñécar managed to bag a Gold Medal, as well as a Bronze in a regional competition.

The finals for the Torneo “Al Andalus” was held in Coníl, which is in the province of Cádiz.

The Almuñécar team was made up of five young girls: Elviar Kabaeva, Lucía Requena, Tatiana Illescas, Zoe Laloux and Irene Rodríguez, together with the coach, Zuzana Hanzlová.

The Gold medalist was Zoe, who came first in the Alevín (A) Category (with ball), whilst Lucía Requena won the Bronze in the Benjamín (A) Category.

Next weekend, the Escuela de Gimnasia Rítmica de Almuñécar will travel with 40 girls to El Ejido in Almería, to participate in the Finals on a national level: Nacional de Promesas de Andalucía.
