The First Councillor for La Herradura, Juan José Ruiz Joya, explained that the new location would enjoy a total area of 400 sq/m; sufficient room for paediatrics, as well as the previously existing services.
The new premises will also have a much larger waiting room (not sure if that’s good or not) as well as separate toilets for gents, ladies and children.
The Town Hall intends to take advantage of this transfer to do other, non-related work on Centro Jate, such as ramp access to the post office and repair the skylights over the central area.
The whole project has a budget of 200,000 euros, with a total completion time of three months, once the work contract has been awarded.
No mention of what will happen to the original medical centre was made in the press release.
