You might remember back in May when the PP in Salobreña complained about the state of the main-entrance roundabout? If you do, you will remember that the governing party responded by saying that they were on the point of sorting it out – this has not happened, complains the PP, even six months further down the line.
The roundabout is the one that also serves as the main junction for the industrial estate in the Pontanilla area.
On the 23rd of July the Town Hall issued a press release accompanied by a photo of the Councillor for Public Works standing, manly, next to a JCB, which appeared on the point of doing making the said roundabout more presentable. The press release said that within a piffling 25 days the roundabout would be pertly adorned, resplendent and finished.
However… not a sausage!
Editorial Comment: The question is, is it a priority when so many are struggling without jobs? Under normal circumstances the inaction on the sprucing up of the roundabout would be reprehensible, admittedly.
