A 44-year-old German citizen was arrested in Málaga for alleged ‘Gender Violence’ and resisting arrest. There were several eye witnesses as the incident took place out in the open on a street.

To the astonishment to by-passers the man punched his 33-year-old wife, of the same nationality, several times, in the face and the abdomen before storming off. However, allegedly, he soon returned and began kicking her on the ground whilst shouting at her.

Fellow pedestrians alerted the police, who promptly arrived and began questioning the couple. The woman confirmed that he had indeed attacked her, but that she did not want to press charges. She explained that they had been living together for the past eight years in Germany and were here on holiday.

The man reacted violently to the police, says the police report, and attempted to resist arrest. He was detained, however, and taken to police holding cells awaiting an appearance before a magistrate.
