Cristina Torrecillas will represent Spain the IX World Padel Championships, which are being held in Argentina. The championships will take place in Buenos Aires between the 28th of October and the 3rd of November.

Needless to say, Cristina, who will be teaming up with Madrid colleague, Lucía Comino in the these world championships, is one of Almuñécar’s most promising young sportswomen.

We at the Seaside Gazette wish her all the luck as her team battles it out against ones from Argentina, Brazil, Italy, Mexico, Portugal, Uruguay and the United States.

Cristina is one of the five local girls to receive sport sponsorships from the Almuñécar Town Hall.
