A young garage workshop lad of 19 in Guadix was seriously injured after the tyre that he was working on exploded.

The worker was first treated in the Hospital de Alta Resolución de Guadix before being transferred to the main hospital in Granada.

It’s not clear how the tyre burst causing the injury but according to the owner of the workshop, the lad was putting a tyre onto a car wheel when the explosion caused the metal inner to break free and hit him in the face.
