The Almuñecar Town-Hall maintenance crew have been busy on the Cañada Real & El Quemado, which is just across and up from the La Herradura gasoline station (near the garden centre) and where the rural road to Pago de Guerra starts.
Anyway, they had a JCB out clearing the ditch, as the locals have been asking for something to be done about it for a long time. We are just on the eve of the late-summer storms and if we get a heavy downpour the overgrown gully would not have been able to handle it, undoubtedly, so the maintenance work is timely, to say the least.
