Yesterday saw the arrival of a Medieval Market on top of the paseo in Almuñécar. There are stalls selling everything from handmade jewellery to tasty treats. For the children there are pony rides and even a hand operated wooden merry-go-round.
The event was very well attended on the day we had a look round, which was helped by the extremely pleasant weather, particularly in the sunshine. Most of the stall-holders wore medieval costume which added to the ‘authentic’ feel of the event, especially as most of the goods on sale are hand crafted.
