A man was found guilty of issuing death threats against the Councillor for Social Affairs, María Dolores Rull and has accepted the one-year prison sentence handed down by the judge; i.e., he is not appealing. Admittedly, anybody who proffers deaths threats isn’t very appealing in any case, but there you go.
The Public Prosecutor had recommended four years for the then accused, but as the final sentence is less than two years, the 43-year-old man will not have to go to prison and the prison sentence will be probation, instead.
The man had got into a heated argument with the female councillor over the fact that his son had volunteered to enter into a reformatory for minors in Granada.
That’s it – that’s the only info available, so don’t ask me, folks! If I had time, I would ask the councillor myself, but there just isn’t time before going to print.
