What do you do when you get handed a forged note? If you’re dishonest, you’ll probably try and pass it on, because if you do go a bank to report it, they’ll just keep it, leaving you empty handed.

Well one man decided to do something about it. Eduardo Sánchez Gómez, a young man from Peligros, trotted round to his local police station to denounce the fact that a pharmacy gave him a forged 50-euro note amongst his change. When he discovered that it was ‘Mickey Mouse’ he shot back to the Pharmacy to complain.

Surprisingly they told him to bugger off, denying that they had given it to him. Who’s telling the truth?
