Lentegí has gone batty! OK, let’s say that they have become bat-conscious, because the Town Hall has taken steps to protect its cave-dwelling bat population. One of the steps is to fence in La Cueva del Perro, where a colony of around 800 bats are believed to live.

The fact is while humans don’t like bats, bats aren’t that keen on humans either, so that the increased adventure tourism in the area is having a negative affect on these creatures.
