Squatting for Outstanding Debt

More from Molvízar; oh, yes, the throbbing metropolis has more to report. One Don Arsenio, having undertaken work for the Town Hall, has not yet been paid. The Town Hall claims to not have received the full payment from La Junta, although sufficient to have paid Arsenio and his colleagues. So, Don Arsenio took his mattress and camped out in the Town Hall building. His wife and daughters allegedly visited him daily, and apparently nobody in the Ayuntamiento cared very much – just stepped over him as they left the office to go home.

As usual, the opposing political parties argued – one saying that sufficient funds had been received to pay the workers at least; the other denying this. In the meantime, this man is struggling to feed his family. And, it seems, it’s all about €1,300. It seems clear the Town Hall has received sufficient funds to pay this gentleman, and his colleagues. Maybe they vote for the ‘wrong’ party?
