The PSOE socialists have formally asked the Benavides governing council to improve the safety conditions of the kiddies’ park on the beach road. They are asking for an access gate and a speed bump in front of the municipal market, to slow beach-road traffic down.
The Spokesman for the group, Paco Prados, considers that now is the ideal moment to carry these improvements, thanks to the agreement struck with the Junta to make the park a ‘recreation yard for the high school during 30 minutes each school day.
“Seeing as the Town Hall has promised to erect barriers around the park, we consider that the changes requested would benefit pupils and children in general when they use the park.
