As if the Mayor didn’t have enough on his mind, the local Hotel Association is now making noises about, ‘irregular activity’ such as vendors selling produce on the streets, allegedly without licenses. Apparently, the problem extends to vehicles with loudspeakers, touting their goods at ungodly hours, and generally disturbing the neighbours.

The Association is asking the Mayor to enforce all the appropriate local Ordinances and to bring a stop to this trading, which, they insist, is hurting legitimate businesses in Salobreña. Plus, they continue, the picture presented to Tourists in our Town is one of, ‘The Third World.’
