The Fiesta del Dragón had the young conservatives of the new venue for this yearly festival up in arms over how the site was left after the event. Until this year, this spring festival had always been held at the Tablones within the township of Órgiva, but the 2010 celebrations were held in Santa Fe, just outside Granada.
The PP complained that not only was it left in a mess, but also, not all the visitors had left afterwards, with some adding their number to the permanent inhabitants of the existing hippy encampment.
The reason that the festival moved from Órgiva this year was because the usual site was flooded, thanks to the river breaking its banks. The Órgiva Town Hall did just happen to ban it, as well, of course…
