The Ed, myself and Kroyi (Georg’s widow), all popped into La Parrilla in La Herradura towards the end of September. The place was packed to the gunnels with people enjoying a wonderful array of tapas in the newly revamped Gastrobar area.
Ramon, tells us he is keeping the restaurant as usual, but has taken some of the dining space at the front of the place and transformed it into the new Gastrobar area, with tall bar stools around huge barrels, where you can relax with a beer or a glass of wine, and sample the great variety of pinchos and tapas.
Previously, the bar area was never really utilised to its full potential, but now the area seems to flow into the table area nicely, making it ideal to just stop by and grab a quick drink or two and a snack.
The Ed, despite one or four too many glasses of wine, took quite a few photos of the event, which was supposed to show the new layout of the place, but he ended up just taking pictures of people having a good time… not entirely as he had intended, but it still makes for a good selection of pictures.
Next time your down on the seafront in La Herradura, make sure you give La Parrilla a try… it’s changed, but definitely for the better.
