Three children suffered burn injuries yesterday (two of them serious) during a school experiment in Porqueres (Girona/Cataluña).

Apparently, the experiment took place during a chemistry class, outside on the playground at the Escola L’Entorn. The injured schoolchildren are 9-years old.

Two children who were seriously burned were rushed to the Hospital Vall d’Hebron in Barcelona, one by helicopter. In fact, two medical helicopters, five ambulances, and a team of SEM psychologists were deployed to the scene

The Fire Department received a call out at 10:45h. The caller explained that a bottle had exploded during a chemistry class.
