According to Salobreña Town Hall, the sinkhole at the end of the main drag in Lobres is being sorted, but normal traffic flow has only been partially restored.
The plan is to have it completely repaired for this weekend, after being closed to traffic since the 5th of this month.

On Tuesday we spoke with Antonio from Libreria 1616 in Salobreña, who lives in this municipal dependency, and he said that nothing had been done about the sinkhole so the Town Hall must have got its act together since then.
According to the Mayor, Javier Ortega, the channel beneath the road has the capacity to handle normal rainfall, but the nearby work on the autovia had diverted the water to this under-road, irrigation channel so it was handling too much rainwater.
Mayor Ortega also said that he had signed a muncipal decree authorising emergency work in the Old Town, next to the Pensioners Club, where a small landslip had necessitated the evacuation from a some homes. After that, they will sort out the damage in La Caleta near the Plaza del Lavadero where there was another landslip.
