A woman of advanced age had to be pulled out from under a bus in the centre of the city of Granada (La Caleta) yesterday.

Several witnesses phoned in the accident to the Emergency Coordination Centre, 112, to say that a woman had been injured by a municipal bus with a leg trapped beneath it.

They immediately despatched an ambulance and the Policía Local de Granada. Upon arrival the paramedics stabilised the woman’s condition before taking her directy to the Hospital de Neurotraumatología de Granada. 

According to hospital sources, the woman had suffered serious leg injuries. The Policía Local have begun an investigation into the accident: apparently the woman was attempting to get on the bus that covers Line-Four route when the vehicle moved off, causing her to fall over with the bus trapping her leg.
