The Almuñécar Councilor for Agriculture, Carlos Ferrón, announced that Bodegas Calvente will be giving a free course on how to make wine!

Many of you will know this wine, which is elaborated in Jete in the Valle del Río Verde but has reached international fame, so if anybody can explain how to make some decent plonk, it’s Horatio Calvente’s Bodega!

The course will be given by José Eduardo Segura, a recognised specialist in the sector, and will take place at the Casa de La Cultura in Almuñécar.

It takes place on the 18th and the 25th of this month, from 19.00h to 22.00h. The last day of the 3-day course, the 27th, will be a morning class from 10.00h to 14.00h, giving a total course duration of 10 hours.

Mayor Ruiz Joya explained that during the course participants will learn how to make both red and white wines.
