Two Huétor Tájar locals lost their lives this Wednesday in Alcalá de Guadaíra. The tragedy occurred while they were carrying out renovation work on an old municipal building.
According to the Mayor of the town where it happened, Ana Isabel Jiménez, the accident occurred around midday during restoration work being carried out on Casa Ibarra, a publicly owned property. The two victims were aged 33 and 44, with the latter being a father of two.

Both men were buried under the rubble after the whole structure collapsed while they were working on the ground floor.
A builder who survived the structural collapse explained that the roof collapsed in, bringing the rest of the building down.
The families of the two victim have gone to the town were it happened in the province of Sevilla, Alcalá de Guadaíra, to retrieve the bodies and bring them back for burial in Huétor-Tájar.
