An officer belonging to the Guardia Civil de Tráfico lost his life whilst attending to a road accident on the A-4 near Guadalcacín (Jerez).

The road accident occurred yesterday morning near kilometre point 633 in the Cádiz direction a little before 11.39h, which was when 112 started to receive calls about an accident involving three vehicles. A Guardia Civil patrol car was sent to the scene.

Soon after arrival and before the officers had even got out of the car, it was rammed by another vehicle, killing Officer Carlos Francisco B.G and seriously injuring Corporal David G.I., who was rushed to the hospital in Jerez.
