Last weekend marked the beginning of June and as with first Saturdays of the month, this coming Saturday is the day that the monthly garden, artisan event is held in the Alquería de Los Lentos in Nigüelas.

It’s a laid-back event with several dozen market stalls offering ceramics, textiles dyed with natural pigments, hand-poured candles, raw honey, jewellery, artisan soaps, local wine, and much more.

This Saturday there are two live-music acts with the Will Shackleton Band and solo artist, Maezo.

Food? There are pizzas,paella, homemade desserts & sweet pastries, crêpes, hamburgers with a gourmet twist and even fresh sushi. There’s even vegan and gluten-free on offer.

The Alquería de Los Lentos, garden artisan market is for those who enjoy taking things relaxedly, enjoying good company, good food and the good life – it’s a popular cultural event.
